Got my butt kicked ...on my first ever Girl's Only ride

My sister Erika and her friends are trying to kill me. Audrey, Erika and Jody all raced Expert the day before and said today's ride would be a "mellow" 3-4 hour ride.
I almost turned back on the first climb. I didn't get any pictures of the race, but they were awesome, placing 1st (Erika), 2nd (Audrey) and the long distance racer of the bunch, Jody, placed 5th while wearing her expedition size camelbak. The Intermountain Cup series is a pretty tough series which means these girls are fast.

This is early season riding in Park City. Jody was a great tour guide, I learned the area pretty well during this ride. Thanks Jody.

Keeping in Touch

Sitting at home talking to friends. Riverside, CA after the Fontana race. We have had some great front yards so far, but I didn't expect such a nice park in the East LA area. Thursday May 17, 2007 - 10:45pm (MDT)

35th (ouch) in NMBS #3 Fontana, CA

I am not in this picture, but in the tape off the side of the trail. Pro starts are crazy and I was in the wrong spot today. There were 60 girls in this start. Going up the first climb I was dead last. I turned around and there was not one person behind me. I was already spent and thoughts of quitting were strong (of course quitting wasn't an option, but I thought about it). I worked my way up to 35th by the end of the race. I actually enjoy the crazy singletrack downhills here; but since I was in traffic it didn't really help.

Staying at the Venue. Fontana, CA
